Volunteer Opportunities at Folkmoot

Hello Friends!

The 2017 Festival is approaching quickly. I am so excited for my first year as a staff member and to work with all of you side by side!

There are several opportunities to volunteer before, during and after this year’s festival. I know with your support we can make this the best festival yet. The following list provides a few things coming up in our volunteer schedule.

Monday, June 19th at 6:00 pm

Our next monthly meeting will be held in the boardroom of the Folkmoot Friendship Center. This is will be a great time to hear about what tasks are still available for the festival. (Example: Ticketing, Cafeteria Workers, Festival Day, Front Office, Souvenirs, etc.) As always light snacks will be served. *Please note we will not have a meeting in July, and will start back on August 21st.
Saturday, June 24th 9:00am – 12:00pm

On our next Saturday Volunteer Day, we will be finishing up paint jobs, preparing the classrooms and taking care of miscellaneous building tasks. Lunch will be provided. There will be a few Fall Saturday cleanup days, so be on the lookout for dates to come.

Folkmoot’s Wish List

Of course, just as we rely on volunteers to make the Festival a success each year, we also count on donated items. This wish list is compiled of things we need to replace like fans that are broken and no longer work. We’ve also requested craft supplies for the kid’s Passport booths held throughout the festival. Please share with your friends and family Folkmoot’s Wish List at Wal*Mart:

Thank you to all of our volunteers for being apart of our program! We have accomplished so much with building renovations and we owe our thanks to you. Folkmoot could not be successful without each and every one of you. I look forward to working with everyone this month and throughout the festival. You may always contact me at the office with any questions or new ideas for volunteering.
