Share a Kanini’s meal with international dancers and musicians from five different countries, learning about their experiences of living in their homeland and visiting the USA. Discuss and discover different perspectives on international events, and pose your own questions about cultural similarities and differences. All ages are welcome. Lunch starts at 12:00pm in the Christian Growth Center. Conversation begins at 12:30 p.m. and is followed by a dance and musical performance by a dance troupe from Wales. This series is part of the annual International Festival sponsored by Folkmoot, a word meaning “meeting of the people.” Folkmoot provides communities throughout Western North Carolina the opportunity to build a deeper sense of connection, mutual respect, and shared purpose, by experiencing other cultures.
